Social Engineers Try to Purge Gender from Slovenian Language

Most European languages are more gender conscious than English. In many Romance and Germanic languages, not only pronouns but articles differ depending on gender (el/la, ein/eine, etc.). Slavic languages take it farther. Virtually every word reflects gender. For example, Natalia Veselnitskaya’s name reflects her gender. If she were a man, her name would be Veselnitsky.

However, gender may not apply to the Slovenian language for long. Driven by an irrepressible urge to control, social engineers are attempting to purge Slovene of gender, presumably in the name of eradicating the patriarchy. Like most utter insanity, this is starting in the universities…
